A public child care system is the number one thing Canada and the Provinces can do to:
🚺 decrease the gender wage gap,
🚼 and lower childhood poverty.
My name is Amanda Burnett. Along with many other organizations and people across Canada, I’m taking action to make public child care happen.
Join us.

What do we want?
We want a public system of affordable, accessible, quality child care that delivers:
☑️ A safe and caring child care space for every child.
☑️ Affordable, accessible child care for every family.
☑️ Decent pay and working conditions for every Early Childhood Educator.

About Me
In 2018 I started the Waitlisted Project after learning my daughter was 75th on the waitlist at the daycare my older son already attended. After waiting over a year, we finally got our spot, but thousands of other families are still struggling to access affordable, quality child care.
I now work independently and with organizations to
✏️ educate the public on the importance of child care and early childhood educators,
📣 advocate for a public system of affordable, accessible, quality child care,
💪 and inspire others to join in the child care advocacy movements.
Let’s take some action!
